Created by Coach Greg Glassman, CrossFit is a fitness system meant to help people develop an “increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains.” This means that CrossFit isn’t necessarily designed to get you better at one skill or fitness attribute; instead, it’s engineered to help you develop multiple skills and strengths at varying levels of intensity and time. You probably won’t become the strongest person on the planet with CrossFit, but you will become stronger, faster, and able to do more work across various disciplines.
If you try a class, you’ll do a workout of the day (WOD), which will more than likely include a met-con (metabolic conditioning session). In a met-con, you’ll try to get as many rounds or reps as you can in a given amount of time. The movements, rounds, reps, and other details always vary, so you never know what to expect. One day you could run 400M and do pull-ups, and the next day you could be doing kettlebell swings, burpees, and box jumps.
But CrossFit goes beyond that. Good boxes will invest time to coach you how to do technical compound lifts and Olympic lifts, skills like double-unders and kipping pull-ups, and even running and rowing techniques.
Another great thing about CrossFit workouts is that they don’t require a special gym or coach. Marcus Hendren, for example, started his CrossFit journey with the ultra-tough workout “Lumberjack 20.” “I was looking for another outlet to compete,” says the ex-collegiate football player. “I’d always loved working out and heard about CrossFit, so I decided to give it a try.”

We have a strong and passionate coaching staff, made up of like-minded individuals, hailing from an array of athletic and academic backgrounds. Whether it is competing at the CrossFit Games, being a weekend warrior, or fighting fires, they work hard to create unique perspectives for the members.
The coaching staff shares Coach Glassman’s belief in fitness, and aim to push results through virtuosity in all they do. We are committed to forging a strong community through CrossFit’s methodologies and movements. We aim to empower those that take on the quest of improving their fitness and health. Health & Fitness came to me at much older age than many who choose this career path. At 18 years old, I weighed 240 lbs. and was extremely overweight. It wasn’t until I discovered the Health & Recreation Center at the University of Central Florida that I started any sort of fitness program, learning from magazines and friends who knew more about the gym.
Best coaches in town, they take care of u and they are very motivated. I normally do CrossFit and after that try to do Weightlifting. The best part of the gym is you always have someone next to u helping u and is not only the coaches everyone in the gym is sooo helpful. It’s like a family , we help each another and we challenge each other. I have been there for 3 years or almost 3 with them and I am no a superstar and that is OK because we are all superstars for showing up. Coming and try a free class, they are the best in town.
The greatest coaches, challenging workouts, and intelligent programming that elicits real results from every athlete no matter what their level is. Gary is an expert at what he does and he’s passionate about coaching. It’s a fun and supportive environment! Aside from the excellent instruction and individualized attention, the prices are hard to beat in comparison to most CrossFit gyms. I love CrossFit predators!
I have been going to this CrossFit for a couple of months now and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. I Walk in being greeted with a hug by Pamela and getting top notch training from Gary I walk out knowing this gym is worth every dime, minute, and squat.
My body was severely injured in a car accident years ago. I made the decision to have double disc replacement almost two years ago. I have been scared to death to try and work out and soon became so overweight that I was just embarrassed to walk into a gym. A close friend convinced me to go see Gary and he felt strongly that Gary could carefully train me and rehabilitate me. It’s been a short 2 months but I am feeling stronger, more confident, and healthier than I have in longer than I can remember. I’m looking forward to continuing sculpting my body into one I can be proud of and I know that Gary and Pamela will be with me every step of the way.
When looking into a gym to train i looked for a place that has trainers with vast amounts of knowledge and YEARS of experience training clients. And that when i found CrossFit Predators. My biggest “must have” in a gym is coaching. With a lot of CrossFit gyms and gyms in general you get coaches/trainers who just make you overwork without a goal in mind besides “lets workout til we puke” and thats what they call a good workout. On top of that they could have just got a cert in a weekend and opened a gym the next day. Thats not the case with CrossFit Predators. Coach Gary has a wealth of professional experience and the certifications to boot. And most importantly, he knows how to apply the knowledge to training his clients. His technical knowledge with lifts is immense and hes catching things i would have never noticed in my already impeccable form (lol i have a waysss to go but thats why im here). Their technical knowledge cant be beat. and I’ve only been going a few months and have noticed a change in my cardio and body composition. Love all the coaches (Pam, Kasey) and love the atmosphere. Gym has nothing but good people and people who encourage you at every step!
